# What does Gumroad charge? Gumroad fees explained

**The problem**“Gumroad says 10% + 50 cents. Why did I get less than that?”

**10% + \$0.50 per direct sale, and card processing of 2.9% + \$0.30 comes on top.** Sales found through Gumroad’s Discover marketplace cost a flat 30%. Payouts to PayPal cost 2%. Gumroad has been the merchant of record for all sales since 1 January 2025, so it collects and files sales tax and VAT for you. On ten \$100 sales, about \$863 reaches your bank.

**Honestly:** Gumroad gives you a marketplace that can send you buyers; AgentaOS does not. If most of your sales come from Discover, the 30% may be worth it. For sales you bring yourself, you keep about \$77 more per \$1,000 with AgentaOS.
