MCP server for payments
The problem“I want Claude or Cursor to set up my pricing, checkout and subscriptions. Which MCP server can actually take payments, with the tax handled?”
AgentaOS runs a hosted MCP server for payments at https://mcp.agentaos.ai/mcp. It gives Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor 31 tools to create products and plans, checkout links, discounts and subscriptions, and to read customers and invoices. AgentaOS is the merchant of record on every sale, so VAT, sales tax, invoices and chargebacks are handled, from 190+ countries, no company needed.

Why an agent needs a legal seller
An agent can write a Stripe integration in minutes. It cannot register for VAT in the EU, sales tax in US states, or file the returns every quarter. With a merchant of record, those registrations are the merchant of record’s, because it is the seller on the receipt. You get the payout, as an individual or a company, from 190+ countries.
Fees: no monthly fee, 4.5% + €0.50 per card sale on pay as you go, or 4% + €0.40 on Pro. See every merchant of record’s fees side by side.

Straight answers
What is an MCP server for payments?
A Model Context Protocol server that lets an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor call payment operations as tools: create products and plans, make checkout links, list subscriptions and invoices. AgentaOS runs one at https://mcp.agentaos.ai/mcp, and because AgentaOS is the merchant of record, the sales it sets up come with VAT, sales tax and invoices handled.
How many tools does the AgentaOS MCP server have?
31 tools, rated A on Glama. They cover products and plans, checkout links, discounts, customers, subscriptions (change plan, credit, cancel), invoices and receipts, business verification and the Pricing Intelligence audit.
Which clients does it work with?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers: Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor. Connecting signs you in with OAuth; there is no API key to paste.
Is it safe to let an agent touch payments?
The agent never sees card numbers; buyers type them on the hosted checkout. Live money waits until a person passes the ID check. Everything works in test mode first, and plan changes are quoted before they are applied.
Is it open source?
Yes. The SDK, CLI and MCP server are Apache-2.0 on GitHub at github.com/AgentaOS/agentaos.
How much does it cost?
The MCP server is free. AgentaOS charges per sale: 4.5% + €0.50 per card sale on pay as you go, or 4% + €0.40 on Pro. No monthly fee on pay as you go.
