Wix Payments not available in my country: how do I sell digital products on Wix?
The problem“My Wix site is ready. Wix Payments is not offered in my country, the only provider Wix lists for me is PayPal, and I want buyers to pay by card.”
If Wix Payments is not available in your country, Wix says you "can still accept payment using one of our many third-party providers", but for N. Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro the only provider Wix lists is PayPal, and for Pakistan it lists none. For digital products and fixed-price service packages, the route that works is to keep your site on Wix and link a button to an outside checkout run by a merchant of record that pays out to your country. Physical products are different: you need a local payment gateway, and this page is not for you.
Which countries does Wix Payments cover?
Fifteen. Wix says Wix Payments is "available in the following 15 locations": Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United States (Wix Help Center). It adds: "If your country is not on the list, it means you currently cannot use Wix Payments as your payment provider." That article is a feature request; Wix is "collecting votes for this issue".
Wix also says Wix Payments "supports businesses located in the countries listed above" (About Wix Payments). So moving your buyers does not help; it is where your business is based that counts.
What does Wix offer when Wix Payments is not available?
Third-party providers, chosen by country. Wix's list for your country is on Available Payment Providers in Your Country. On 6 November 2026 it showed:
- N. Macedonia: PayPal
- Serbia: PayPal
- Bosnia and Herzegovina: PayPal
- Montenegro: PayPal
- Albania: PayPal, Paymentwall, FasterPay
- Pakistan: N/A
- Kosovo: not on the list
Two notes on the same page matter. First: "Currently, it is not possible to connect more than one payment provider (e.g. Stripe, Square, etc.) to process credit card payments." Second: "If you don't see your desired payment provider, you can still connect a provider using Velo and the Payment Provider Service Plugin", which is a coding job. For every country Wix also offers Manual Payments, to "accept payments offline and record those payments".
PayPal only helps if your PayPal account can receive money where you live. Check on PayPal's own site, or read PayPal can't receive money in my country.
Can a Wix button link to an outside checkout?
Yes. In the Wix Editor, a button's link type "Web address" will "Link to an external URL. When your visitors click the button, they are directed to your chosen web address" (Wix, Adding a Link to a Button). You can open it in the same window or a new one.
The Wix Pay Button is not the same thing. It needs a payment provider connected in Wix, and Wix says "you must purchase a site plan that allows you to accept payments" (Wix, Pay Button). Use a normal button with a web address instead.
What about Squarespace payments not available in my country?
Squarespace gives you three ways to take payment: Squarespace Payments, Stripe and PayPal. "Squarespace Payments is only available to sellers in the countries listed here", a list of 15 countries in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand (Squarespace, edited 15 October 2026). For Stripe and PayPal, Squarespace sends you to each company's own country page (Squarespace, edited 28 August 2026). If none of the three serves you, the same outside-checkout route below applies: a button on your page that links to any URL.
Which route fits me?
| Route | Who takes payment | Works in N. Macedonia or Serbia? | Catch | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wix Payments | Wix | No | Only businesses in the 15 listed countries | Wix |
| PayPal on Wix | PayPal | Listed by Wix; works only if your PayPal account can receive money | Check receiving on PayPal first | Wix |
| Stripe on Wix | Stripe | No: Wix does not list Stripe there, and neither country is on Stripe's list | Needs Stripe in your country | Wix · Stripe |
| Velo + Payment Provider Service Plugin | The provider you code in | Only if that provider serves your country | A developer job | Wix |
| Manual Payments | You, offline | Yes | No card checkout; you record each payment | Wix |
| Merchant of record (AgentaOS) linked from a Wix button | AgentaOS, as the legal seller | Yes, individuals and companies, paid to your own bank in EUR or USD in 86 countries | Digital products and service packages only; checkout opens outside Wix | Facts · Wix |
All checked 6 November 2026. Lists change; check yours in your Wix dashboard.
AgentaOS charges 4.5% + €0.50 per card sale, or 6.0% + €0.50 for cards issued outside the EEA, with no monthly fee (facts). AgentaOS is the official seller, so it handles the buyer's VAT or sales tax and the invoice on each sale.
How do I sell digital products on Wix without Wix Payments, step by step?
- Check your own options. In your Wix dashboard, open Accept Payments and check the business location at the top right. If Wix Payments or a card provider that serves you is listed, use it and stop here.
- Confirm what you sell. This route is for downloads, software, templates, courses and fixed-price service packages. If you ship physical goods, look for a local payment gateway instead.
- Create the product. In AgentaOS, create a product with a name, a price in EUR or USD and the type One-time, then copy its buyer link (payment links docs). Buyers pay by card.
- Send buyers back to Wix after they pay. Under After payment, click + Redirect buyers after payment and enter a Success URL: a thank-you page on your Wix site with the download link or, for a service, the booking form. Keep that page out of your menu.
- Link your Wix button. In the Wix Editor, click the button, click the Link icon, choose Web address, paste the buyer link and click Done. Test it in Preview mode, as Wix suggests.
- Say what the buyer gets. Next to the button, state the price, what they receive and when. For a service package, name the delivery date.
- Get paid and declare it. AgentaOS pays out to your own bank in EUR or USD (N. Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Pakistan). Declare the income at home; ask a local accountant.
There is no AgentaOS app in the Wix App Market. You connect the two with a button link. (On WordPress there is a plugin.)
Checklist: before you sell on Wix with an outside checkout
- ✓Your country checked in Wix's Accept Payments
- ✓You sell digital products or service packages, not physical goods
- ✓A EUR or USD account at your bank
- ✓Product created with a clear name and price, type One-time
- ✓Success URL set to a thank-you page on your Wix site
- ✓Wix button linked to the buyer link and tested in Preview
- ✓Your accountant told about income from abroad
When is AgentaOS the wrong choice?
If Wix Payments or a card provider in Wix's list serves your country, use it: orders stay inside Wix. If you sell physical products, AgentaOS does not support them. If you need a Wix Stores cart with many items per order, a single buyer link per product will feel limited. New accounts and service packages start with up to 15% of each sale set aside for 120 days; a service paid now and delivered later can have up to 100% held until delivery plus 120 days (Terms, section 9.2).
