Do I pay Kenyan tax on income from foreign clients?

Yes. A resident person must declare and pay tax on income derived from Kenya and, within the law, from outside Kenya. Resident individuals file an annual return by 30 June, taxed on a graduated scale. KRA

Can a freelancer use Turnover Tax?

Turnover Tax is 1.5% of gross sales for residents with turnover above KES 1 million and up to KES 25 million. It does not apply to management, professional or training fees, so many service freelancers fall under normal income tax. KRA

How do I get paid in Kenya?

Do I need a EUR or USD account?

Yes. Payouts are paid in the same currency as your balance, EUR or USD, so you need a EUR or USD account at your bank (a foreign currency account). No currency conversion happens inside a payout.
