Selling from North Macedonia

Which payment gateway works in North Macedonia for WooCommerce or your website?

The problem“I want to take card payments on my website or WooCommerce store in Macedonia. Stripe is not available. What do I use?”

Three routes work; Stripe and PayPal do not. cPay (CaSys) is the local card gateway: an acquiring bank such as Halk, Stopanska, NLB, Komercijalna or Uni Banka signs your registered business as a merchant, it has its own WooCommerce plugin, and you stay the seller, so VAT for buyers abroad is yours. Kordiva is a Stripe-powered store and checkout for registered businesses and sole traders in North Macedonia, with a merchant of record option for approved one-time digital sales by individuals. A merchant of record like AgentaOS, the merchant of record for AI agents, is the legal seller: you, or your AI agent in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, create the products and checkout; it takes individuals and companies, charges each buyer’s VAT, sells one-time products, subscriptions and services, and pays you to your Macedonian bank in EUR or USD.

How do I add it to WooCommerce?

  1. cPay on WooCommerce. Ask an acquiring bank for a cPay e-commerce merchant contract; the bank reviews your company documents and your site (terms, refunds, prices with VAT) before it issues the gateway credentials. Then install the cPay WooCommerce plugin and enter the merchant details the bank gives you. Payments arrive in denars at your bank; you issue invoices and handle VAT for foreign buyers.
  2. Kordiva. Apply as a registered business (Business Commerce) or, for one-time digital products as an individual, apply for its merchant of record model. Sell through its storefront, Checkout Links or API.
  3. AgentaOS on WooCommerce. Create the product in AgentaOS, copy its buyer link, and in WooCommerce add a product with Product data set to External/Affiliate product, the buyer link as Product URL. The sale, invoice and buyer VAT happen on the AgentaOS checkout. Full WordPress and WooCommerce steps.

Which one should I pick?

  • Building with AI tools, or selling an AI app with credits or subscriptions

AgentaOS: your AI agent sets up products, checkouts and subscriptions for you over MCP in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and credits or usage plans work out of the box.

  • Registered company selling physical goods to Macedonian buyers

cPay through your bank is the usual route: local cards, payouts in denars.

  • Registered business that wants a hosted store with Stripe-powered payments

    Kordiva Business Commerce.

  • Individual, or selling digital products, subscriptions or services to buyers abroad

A merchant of record, so you do not register for VAT in other countries: AgentaOS (one-time, subscriptions and services) or Kordiva’s merchant of record (approved one-time digital sales).

Not just payments

The Next.js starter comes with two subscription plans, a one-time product, an account page and verified webhooks, ready to deploy.

  • Let the agent run your store

Questions

Related questions

Can my AI agent set up payments for me in North Macedonia?

Yes, with AgentaOS. Connect the AgentaOS MCP server (hosted at mcp.agentaos.ai) to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and your agent can create products, checkout links and subscriptions for you; you approve the connection once. Bank gateways need forms and contracts filled in by you.

Is Stripe available in North Macedonia?

No. North Macedonia is not on Stripe’s list of supported countries, so a business based there cannot open its own Stripe account. Kordiva offers Stripe-powered payments as a managed platform, and merchants of record like AgentaOS work without a Stripe account.

Is there a WooCommerce payment plugin for North Macedonia?

Yes: cPay (CaSys) has an official WooCommerce plugin, used with a merchant contract from a Macedonian bank. Without a bank contract, you can sell from WooCommerce with a merchant of record’s buy link set as an External/Affiliate product.

Can I accept card payments online as an individual in North Macedonia?

Yes, through a merchant of record, which is the legal seller of each sale. AgentaOS takes individuals for digital products, subscriptions and services; Kordiva’s merchant of record takes approved individuals for one-time digital sales. Local bank gateways like cPay need a registered business.

Who pays VAT for buyers in other countries?

With cPay or Kordiva Business Commerce you are the seller, so foreign VAT rules are yours. With a merchant of record, it charges and files the buyer’s VAT or sales tax.

In which currency do I get paid?

cPay pays to your Macedonian bank in denars. AgentaOS pays to your own bank account in North Macedonia in EUR or USD, on the 1st and the 15th of each month, so you need a foreign currency account at your bank.
